The kids are back in school, football season's about to start, and I have a little more time to crochet. What with potholders, hats, and the couple of afghans I've got started, you wouldn't thing I'd need a new project, but, of course, I've always got an eye open…searching for inspiration. My first stop is the leisureartslibrary.com.
The eldest child has a good friend who's a cheerleader and has a birthday coming up. I'm thinking of making her a "Beary" Cute Cheerleader Bear. Isn't she adorable—all dressed up in her crocheted uniform and saddle shoes? I'll have to use blue yarn instead of red to match our school colors.
I guess I should get started on a new set of Sporty Stadium Seats for taking along to the football games I know I'll be dragged to. (Those metal bleachers get really cold!) These 17" x 16" cushions crochet up fast using four strands of worsted weight yarn and a Q hook.
We've also got a little friend who's just starting daycare. She's not particularly thrilled about it either. I think she probably needs a Panda Pal Backpack to keep her company.
Okay…enough choices for now. Time to get busy stitching.
