Friday, it was sleeting and in the 30s. It was cold but sunshiny on Sunday. Monday was a typical Monday—let's not even go there. Today, it started off cold and rainy. But the weather guy says we should see temperatures in the 70s. That's one thing about Arkansas weather—if you don't like it right now, wait a couple of hours, and it will change…

Tuesday Morning: So far it's been a dreary, stay inside and read/nap/crochet kind of day. A cup of hot tea at hand and a cat to keep you company sort of day. Wish I could stay at home in my recliner with my afghan pattern. (It's a ripple afghan from #4432 Vanna's Choice Color It Beautiful Afghans.)

But instead, I'm getting ready for work. People in Arkansas dress in layers in order to be prepared for our changeable weather. ’Cause you can always shed a certain amount of clothing during the day as the temp fluctuates, but you can't add anymore than you started out with. I like layers…

10:00 a.m.—Now, the sun's shining. It's a damp but lovely 64 degrees outside. Oops, the sun's gone again…

12:00 It's very dark outside, the wind's blowing really hard, and it's raining again…temp's gone up to 67 degrees.

And now, at 1:00, it's sunglasses bright outside, and the temp's up to 72. I came back from lunch with a group of women who were discussing which articles of clothing they could strip off and still be dressed enough for the office.

At 3:00, the sun's still shining, it's 75 degrees, and it's really, really, really windy. Wind is a concern here in Tornado Alley. Hope we don't have to head for the stairwell!

Well, it's 5:00—time to go home. Out the door to face a chilly 54 degrees…my afghan awaits.

Wish I could learn to be as accepting of life changes as I am of changes in the weather.

I am in CA and we have the same problem. I hate it! I wish when it was cold it would just be cold. The weather man is a joke here. I can sympathize with you.
