The past few seasons, celebrities and fashionistas everywhere heave been channeling the late great Jackie O with their choice of sunglasses: namely, the bigger the better, preferable in tortoise shell or black enamel.  But I’m here to tell you ladies, Ray Ban-style Wayfarers are back in a big way.  I’m talking Tom Cruise in Risky Business, Belushi in The Blues Brothers style Wayfarers.  They’ve already been spotted on trendy gals like Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton, so they’re sure to be making their way to Sunglass Huts and Claire’s accessory stores near you.  Both of these lovely ladies have kept their style au courant by wearing the retro shades in a modern color: white.   

I guess with the return of the legging, it could only be so long before other throwback styles like the Wayfarer found their way onto runways and discount store shelves alike.  Of course, as with everything else retro, the key is to keep the rest of your ensemble simpler, so you don’t look like you’re on your way to a costume party.  Unless, of course, you are on your way to a costume party…
